On behalf of the REM Tech Office, we would like to welcome newest Industrial ‘Drone’ Engineer Paloma Grelier from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio TX!
Paloma is the second REM Intern that we have obtained through the graciousness of Professor Dr. Ocampo. Paloma is currently majoring in the Industrial Engineering field. But she is also interested in expanding her studying into the market side of the business world. “As someone who studies Industrial Engineering, I wanted to explore beyond my major. I started getting interested in marketing and promoting business through social media as a way to learn about the professional marketing world”, she adds.
She is new to the Drone world, but is willing to not only to help the marketing side, but eventually get her hands on the controls and take to the sky! “I find drones very innovative and I truly believe they’re going to become more advanced as we head towards the future. They are our future and it is only right to explore more of how they can benefit the community.”
Her dream flight, going through the city of New York weaving in and out of the cities tall buildings and eventually landing in Central Park! Couldn’t agree with her more!
When Paloma isn’t excelling in school and gaining more knowledge with REM, she enjoys going to the movies with friends, reading and traveling. Her main hobby is dancing. Her goal is to be able to take a dance class in every place she has traveled. She has already completed part of her goal by dancing a contemporary piece on Broadway in New York City, NY and as well as taking a ballet class in Paris, France and a hip hop class in Los Angeles, CA. Looks like she is well on her way for that goal!
We look forward to not only teaching Paloma about the Drone World, but also learning from her with the tactics she is learning at St. Mary’s through promotions and marketing businesses here in 2024. “I am so excited to see how much I learn with REM Technology!” We are too Paloma!
